We have many opportunities to be involved in the prayer ministries here at SUMC:
Monday Night Prayer Team
We are made up of dedicated prayer warriors, rock solid believers in the power of prayer who meet each
Monday night at 6:30 pm. We pray over the non-confidential prayer requests received from the Keep in Touch cards collected in the offering plate on Sunday mornings. We meet on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the prayer room in the Community Life and Worship Center (campus map). Please feel free to join us. Email Prayer Team
This team receives prayer requests by way of, you guessed it, email. No meetings required. As a team member, you’ll simply access your email for requests and pray at your convenience.If you need prayer, go to our Prayer Request page to submit a need. Non-confidential prayer requests are sent immediately to our team via email. Confidential requests are given to the Ministers only. To serve in this ministry, contact Terri Strawn.
Staff and Ministry Prayer Team
This group of dedicated pray-ers meet to pray specifically for our church staff and for the ministries at Sugarloaf.
We pray over individual staff members and also church needs.We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am in the prayer room located in the Community Life and Worship Center (campus map). To serve in this ministry, contact Steve Beckmann.
Sunday Morning Prayer Team
Ever wonder why our worship services are so exciting and spirit filled? Members of our Sunday Morning Prayer Team meet to pray over our sanctuary before worship services on Sunday. To learn more or to become a part of this team, please contact Terri Strawn.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This group is a ministry designed to provide made-with-love-and-prayer blankets, shawls and quilts to others. This team is always open for people who craft, knitters, crocheters, quilters to produce shawls, prayer blankets and baby blankets. All skill levels accepted. Also looking for team members willing to create tags to attach to the blankets/shawl, do deliveries and locate resources. We meet the 4th Saturday of most months from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. in the Congregational Care Cottage (campus map). This building is located behind the Sugarloaf Kids Building.
