A church with a BIG HEART

Cancer Support Group

Join us for a 4 part series starting in January.  You may come to all 4 or just the ones you want to hear.  Great way to start off the year!

January 16th - Join us for a time of sharing our stories about the ways that cancer has touched our lives.  We will offer support and prayer for one another.  Come if you have a cancer diagnosis or if you love someone who has a cancer diagnosis.  Come if you want to offer care and support to someone who has a cancer diagnosis. This time will be led by Holly Tickle, Marriage and Family Therapist.

January 23rd - Our Cancer Support Community will meet to share and learn.  Come if you have a cancer diagnosis or if you love someone who has a cancer diagnosis.  Rev. Beverly Ostrowski will lead our conversation.

January 30th - Chet and his Cancare team will share what Cancare is doing in the Atlanta Faith Community to support people diagnosed with cancer.  We will have a conversation on ways Cancare supports individuals as well as ways our Cancer Support Group can grow and learn from Cancare's new initiative to help congregations develop and maintain cancer support groups.  Please join us to contribute your insights and wisdom to this important conversation.  All are invited whether you have cancer or not.  This is a ministry offering care to people with cancer and you are welcome to come and learn about it. Chet Burdick will lead our conversation.

February 6th -  Kristin Oja is a Doctorate Prepared Nurse Practitioner, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Founder of STAT Wellness.  Passionate about taking a functional medicine approach, Kristin focuses on prevention and uncovering the root cause of chronic illness and disease.  She is so excited to come speak with you all about nutrition and how to use food as medicine!  All are invited to come and learn from Kristin.  Whether you have cancer or another illness or you just want to learn about eating for wellness, you are welcome!
