For over 10 years, Sugarloaf UMC has been honored to lead a mission trip to the Navajo Indian Reservation in Pueblo Pintado, NM.  This diverse group travels to the reservation every year around the 2nd week in July to share God’s love, spend time with and build relationships with the Navajo people.  The mission trip follows the theme of Worship, Grow, Serve as each year we do all three.  The team is made up of close to 50 people from families, to singles, from the youngest to the oldest.  It is a great opportunity to experience a mission trip that at times might feel like it’s worlds away but you never leave the U.S. and the majority of the people on the reservation speak English as well as Navajo.

Our main goal on the mission trip is to love unconditionally and speak absolute truth and truly be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.  If you’ve ever considered doing a mission trip and just aren’t quite sure you are ready to leave the country, come get more information in February and let God speak to your heart.  This is a mission trip that will touch you and like so many other trips, you will leave with a heavy heart knowing all the while that you left with far more than you ever could’ve given.  Come join us.  For more information contact Terri Strawn and we will help get you plugged in.
